Why you should visit Germany

When someone wants to travel to a country, what do they think about in their mind? Do you know? Let’s assume some thoughts of the travelers. It may be influenced by the economic condition and the regional culture. An American will think differently than a Chinese or a Japanese because their livelihoods and social norms are different from a European or an American.

Like these, when people visit a country, they keep something in mind. For example, why do they want to visit that particular country? What will they do during their travel period? Is that country safe for them or not? What are the rules and regulations for visiting? What are the restaurant types? What food can they taste? Is alcohol available there or not? And so on. That means travelers want a suitable place to travel where they can enjoy their free time and all the above-mentioned thoughts won’t bother them at all. When they feel comfortable with those thoughts, they choose the destination for travel. I don’t know about everyone, but my friends, family, and I think about those things.

Germany is the kind of place where you don’t need to think twice about safety and other issues because every probable problem you’re thinking about is not a problem here. There is no safety issue; you can walk on the road alone anytime of the day and night, and nobody will bother or harm you. Restaurants in Germany are numerous, and the varieties are also vast. You will find Chinese, Italian, Indian, Thai, Bengali, Turkish, and Arabian restaurants on every corner of the big cities. You can have various kinds of drinks you like. Germans are very fond of beer. They have a bunch of varieties of beer. There are so many wine shops here on every street in Germany. Germany’s transport system is also very unique and diverse. They have buses, trams, and trains 24 hours in the big cities. Buses and trams are so frequent in the city area. They have different kinds of tourist-friendly ticket services through which you can easily travel to any destination. Moreover, the tickets are very cheap here. You can buy a ticket for one week, ten days, or for 15 days or longer.

Museums are numerous in Germany. There are many museums where you can visit without any payment. Free museums are abundant in Germany. There are so many castles you can visit while traveling. Cities are vibrant in Germany. If you are a city lover, then you can visit big cities like Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, and other big cities. I live in Duisburg. It’s not as big compared to the cities I mentioned here, but it’s not a small city either. I like living here because the ease of living and maintaining life is so easy here, which makes me comfortable living here.

Reasons for visiting Germany:

Beautiful nature:

Natural beauty is overwhelming in Germany. Every time I visit any forest or mountain here, I get different feelings. If you live in a village area, you will feel the true beauty of nature. You won’t want to go home. The scenery is mind-blowing.

Festivals:

Throughout the world, people have a stereotypical assumption about Germany that Germans are not fun-loving people. But it’s not true. It’s the opposite; Germans are way more fun-loving than any other nation in the world. When you come here, you will see that almost every month Germany has some kind of festival.

Food:

Various kinds of food can be found in Germany. As I said earlier, you’ll find different countries’ cuisines here, including vegan and other cuisines. Pommes, which is known as French fries, is the most common fast food here in Germany. In every corner of German cities, no matter whether it is a small or big city, wherever you find any restaurant, you will find Pommes. I like Döner the most, which is a Turkish food. You will find kebab shops, which are mainly Turkish small shops for Döner lovers. Shawarma and Durum are also other delicious foods from the same Döner family. You will like food dishes from every corner of the world here in Germany, which is another facility for tourists.

History:

The history of Germany is very rich. Germany’s past is not so good, and the whole world knows that very well. How they struggled during the First World War and also their defeat in the Second World War was the struggling part of German history. This nation was defeated twice in history, and amazingly they got back their proud moment through their hard work, which makes them the economic leader of Europe currently.

The Museums:

There are many museums in Germany, and the best part is that so many of them are free for visitors. Doesn’t it feel exciting? Yes, it does. At least for me, it feels very exciting because every museum holds the richest history of German culture. In Berlin, you will find many museums. If you love art and history, you will find museums here in Berlin. If you like ancient architecture, there are museums here too where you can explore ancient sculptures.

Here are some museums I recommend every tourist visit:

  • Topography of Terror, Berlin
  • Miniatur Wunderland, Hamburg
  • Germanisches Nationalmuseum, Nürnberg
  • Mercedes-Benz Museum, Stuttgart
  • Chocolate Museum, Cologne
  • Beer and Oktoberfest Museum, Munich
  • The Museum of Contemporary History, Bonn

Medieval Architecture:

Germany is filled with medieval architecture. In every corner of Germany, you will find medieval architecture, which will make you feel the essence of the rich history of Germany. There are some old countryside areas where you will find old buildings from the medieval period.

History of World War 2:

Germany is the best place where you can learn about the history of World War 2. It’s a very tragic history both for Germany itself and for the rest of the world, which should be known to the world. I think this could be the only reason for someone to visit Germany because it will be worth your valuable travel time.
