Budget-Friendly Hotels in Germany for Travelers

I was overwhelmed the first time I planned a long trip. I searched for a convenient hotel before my first trip to Germany. I know many of you have had the same problem when traveling to a new place for the first time but facing troubles finding out budget friendly hotels to stay. Now, I want to give you tips about budget-friendly hotels in Germany so you can have guidance for your budget trip. I’ve found many low-cost 3-star and 4-star hotels in every corner of Germany, making it very easy to stay for a night or two. So let’s get started.

Top 5 hotels in Berlin for budget travelers

When I traveled to Berlin for the first time, I didn’t want to break the bank for accommodation. Unfortunately, I ended up spending more than I intended because I had no suggestions for low-cost hotels or hostels. It was a sad experience for me. However, after doing some research online and asking my friends and colleagues, I gathered useful information about the cheapest hotels in Berlin. Now, I stay at these affordable places whenever I travel to Berlin. I’m sharing my experiences so you won’t have to face the same challenges I did on my first trip.

HappyGoLucky Hotel & Hostel

HappyGoLucky Hotel and Hostel is located in the heart of Berlin’s Friedrichshain district. This hotel is my favorite in Berlin, as I travel there frequently and have stayed many times. They have trendy and colorful budget-friendly rooms and dormitories, which are perfect for solo travelers as well as couples. I like the lounge area the most. Moreover, they have a rooftop terrace, and I never forget to enjoy the views of the beautiful Berlin city from this nice rooftop.

MEININGER Hotel

This hotel is ideal for those who want to stay in the heart of Berlin and experience the vibrant atmosphere of the city. Located near the iconic East Side Gallery and the lively neighborhood of Kreuzberg, it offers modern and stylish rooms at an affordable price. Whenever I visit Berlin and prefer to stay centrally, I always choose this hotel without hesitation.

Motel One Berlin-Alexanderplatz

My third choice is this motel, which is another convenient option for budget travelers like me. To me, this motel is very convenient for several reasons. One of the best reasons, of course, is the low price, which is ideal for budget travelers. Another reason is the location, situated in the neighborhood of Alexanderplatz, offering easy access to transportation, which is one of the best features I found at this location.

Luxury hotel options in Munich for a comfortable stay

Another favorite city of mine is Munich. Of course, I had to struggle to find the cheapest hotels and motels here too, but this journey was much easier compared to Berlin. Let’s delve into the details of the cheapest hotels in Munich for budget travelers like me.

Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski

My favorite hotel in Munich is this one. It’s situated in the heart of the city. By the way, it is a five-star hotel, but it’s quite convenient. I’ve received premium services from this hotel, including a spa, fitness center, and several fine dining options. That’s why this hotel is my first choice whether I visit for vacation or work.

Mandarin Oriental

This is my second choice, and it’s also a five-star hotel. I liked the special rooms here and the premium service. They have a spa center as well. What I liked the most was the rooftop terrace. The iconic beauty of the city was amazing both in the evening and at night; the two different views were incredibly beautiful. I have already recommended this hotel to my friends and colleagues, especially for the amazing rooftop view of the city.

Family-friendly accommodations in Hamburg with special amenities

Hamburg is my third choice after Berlin and Munich among the biggest cities to explore. I have lots of memories in Hamburg. I like the boat tour in Hamburg the most. Every time I visit Hamburg, I go for a boat tour on the Elbe River. Hamburg is a great city for a family vacation. I’ve already planned many activities for my future family vacation in Hamburg. Unfortunately, I don’t have my family with me in Hamburg right now, but I will execute my family tour plan when I do.

Now, I will tell you about some family-friendly accommodations in Hamburg that are affordable. So, let’s start.

Hotel Hafen Hamburg

This hotel is perfect for families. I don’t think you can fully enjoy it alone like I did. When I was there, it reminded me of my family. I thought, “OMG! What a nice place this is. How nice it would be if I had my family with me.” There is a range of amenities organized for families. Kids will love the play area. They have special food items for kids in the restaurant as well. Additionally, they offer excellent babysitting services, which is very relaxing for parents. Parents can easily plan their outdoor activities, knowing their children are with the babysitters, which is a significant advantage for families.

Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten

I tried this one for extra luxury. Though I don’t usually prefer staying in heavily luxurious hotels for a vacation, I chose this one for its convenient price range. It’s a five-star hotel, by the way. Again, this hotel is recommended for families, not single people like me. I had the same thoughts as before and was thinking about my family all the time when I was here, especially when I saw the families with their kids. It’s really an amazing place for families. Apart from that, I liked the swimming pool; it was a very relaxing and quiet experience for me. Again, I’m telling you, this hotel is best for families. A single person can enjoy it too, but it’s not as worthwhile for a single person.
